Whether you’re looking for a creative gift for the stylish word nerd in your life, or you’re on the hunt for a new conversation piece for your style-savvy-literary-loving self, search no further.

I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite language-inspired pieces and the wonderful brands that created them — so feel free to take some notes for your arsenal of nerdy-but-awesome gift ideas, or maybe even snag something amazing for yourself (because let’s face it, you totally deserve it).

(Fun fact: As a self-proclaimed “stylish word nerd,” all products discussed in this post are items that I personally own and love. This post does not contain affiliate links, though I did include a discount code for one of the brands mentioned below.)

Storiarts is a husband and wife team from Oregon who create magical literary themed apparel. After falling in love with one of their book scarves on Instagram, I immediately headed to their site and knew that I had stumbled upon something wonderful. In addition to scarves, they carry an array of fingerless gloves, pillow covers and tees.

Ultimately I chose The Raven scarf due to my fairly intense scarf addition, my love for all things Poe, and the fact that I had conveniently just finished teaching this poem to my seventh graders — which means it’s tax deductible, right? 🙂

Each scarf is American made with the softest jersey knit fabric, and as you can see from the photos below, I had no trouble styling it. These wonderful scarves make the perfect addition to any fall/winter wardrobe.

If you or someone you know has a penchant for scarves and classic literature, then I highly recommend Storiarts.

Mieroglyphs is a newer discovery, but one that I am so excited about due to their interesting, inspiring and socially conscious bracelets and dog collars.
Each bracelet is vegan, made with sustainable materials, and comes with a quote engraved on the inside (but can also be customized with any message of your choosing).
I chose the cork bracelet with the gold clasp, though I debated between the gold and black clasps for quite some time! Decisions are tough, people. I also opted for a custom inscription of one of favorite inspirational messages (She believed she could, so she did), even though I really liked the stock message too (From discord find harmony).

In addition, I just couldn’t resist this matching dog collar/bracelet combo. The inscription on the inside reads, “The journey of life is sweeter when traveled with a pet” — which I absolutely adore.
If your furry friend’s birthday is coming up — or even if it isn’t — why not treat him or her to a new custom engraved collar? Or maybe you know a few socially conscious, style-savvy dog lovers with a weakness for inspirational credos? Send them over to Mieroglyphs!

If you’re looking for a variety of literary-inspired products, Out of Print has one of the largest collections around. Shop T-shirts, sweatshirts, socks, totes, leggings, mugs, notebooks… and the list goes on and on.
Want to know the best part? Each purchase helps fund literary programs and book donations to communities in need.
My first Out of Print purchase was the Banned Books tote, which naturally appealed to the word nerd/language arts teacher in me. I tried to take a few pictures, but I can’t seem to master the flat lay like so many of my instafriends have. Don’t worry, I’ll update this post accordingly once I get my act together. (I know, you were super worried.)
I’ve also purchased T-shirts and totes as gifts for friends, family and colleagues. They really do have something for everyone.
So whether you’re searching for the perfect gift for someone in your life or looking to enhance your own personal literary memorabilia game, take note of these unique brands & products. I’m sure you and your loved ones will enjoy them as much as I do.

Scarves are definitely my weakness. I'd say I have too many, but I'm not sure there's such a thing. 🙂
